Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you write to us through the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us. When you create a Yum Hunt account, we collect your email address. If you join a Family plan, we also record which family your account belongs to.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Yum Hunt app, we collect basic usage data such as crashes, errors, screen views, and feature interactions. We use this to fix bugs and understand which features work. We do not collect precise location data, and we do not access your microphone, camera, or contacts.

Information from third parties. When you buy a subscription, Apple or Google tells us that the purchase happened, which plan it was, and when it renews or ends. We never receive your card details, your Apple ID, or your Google account.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Run your account and keep your lists in sync across your devices.
• Give you access to the features included in your plan.
• Send essential service emails, such as sign-in links and receipts.
• Fix crashes and improve the app.
• Respond when you write to us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Children's privacy

Yum Hunt is designed for parents to use with their children, but the account belongs to the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States, nor from children under the age of digital consent in their region.

The app does not require children to enter names, emails, photos, or other personal data. Item names are read aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech. We do not record a child's voice.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through your account, please contact apps@tino.design and we will delete it.

4. Who we share information with

We share limited information with the service providers we need to run Yum Hunt:

• Apple and Google — to deliver the app and process subscription payments.
• Our email provider — to send sign-in links, receipts, and replies.
• Crash and analytics tools — to help us debug, in aggregate, non-identifying form where possible.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Yum Hunt, our users, or others. We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our marketing website uses minimal cookies — only what's needed to keep the page working. We do not load third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future (for example, to count visitors), we will update this policy first and choose a privacy-respecting tool.

The Yum Hunt app stores small files on your device to remember your list, preferences, and language. These never leave your device unless you explicitly sync with another family member.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within thirty days, except where we are required to keep records of purchases for tax and accounting purposes. Messages you send us through the contact form are kept for up to twelve months. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete your information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive your information in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, restricted access, and regular review of who can see what — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach occurs.

9. International users

Yum Hunt is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify users by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Yum Hunt after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
